Dear customers, we bring to your attention the restrictions that will arise in transactions conducted with Yelo cards in certain countries and on certain platforms.
Changes occurring in Mastercard cards starting May 11, 2026:
- Only physical transactions via physical cards will be possible in Azerbaijan;
- All physical, contactless, and online transactions abroad will be temporarily suspended;
- Online payments on local platforms will be possible, but payments on foreign platforms will be suspended;
- Domestic transfers will continue as usual, without any problems.
Changes occurring in Visa cards starting May 13, 2026:
- All types of transactions in European countries and on online platforms operating through European banks will be suspended;
- There will be no restrictions on physical, contactless, and online transactions in Azerbaijan and more than 150 other countries worldwide.
We recommend our customers planning to travel to European countries to temporarily consider alternative payment methods. At the same time, Mastercard cardholders can order a Visa card within seconds via the Yelo mobile app for the convenience of payments.
Countries subject to restrictions include: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Greece.
